We officially launched Medway: Our Planet at Byron School, Gillingham on 2 October, 2007.  The event was attended by Councillor Janice Bamber (Portfolio Holder for Customer First and Corporate Services at Medway Council) and Councillor Val Goulden, Mayor of Medway. 

Our Medway: Our Planet balloon represents 6 kilogrammes of carbon dioxide - the amount that would be saved if you replaced two normal lightbulbs with energy efficient equivalents.
