Every single thing we can do to reduce emissions here in Medway makes a difference, because it means that we are not adding to climate change.
Some countries, like the UK, can set a good example to the rest of the world by showing that its possible to cut emissions by being more efficient in the way we use energy and other natural resources.
But its really important to remember that we can each make our own contribution. Every step we take - from changing a light bulb, turning off the television, not leaving our games consoles on standby, not leaving phone chargers plugged in when they're not being used, changing our electricity tariff to a greener option or even fitting a solar panel - is another step closer to reducing the problem of climate change.

If you're still not sure about man-made climate change, have a look at the Royal Society's page on climate change controversies. The Royal Society is the national academy of science of the UK and the Commonwealth, and is at the cutting edge of scientific progress. We challenge you to find a more reliable source of information.
